NCGA.ORG | FALL 2018 57 1 Katherine Way Kiawah Skort It can be difficult to find a golf skirt that offers enough coverage without sacrificing fit. Katherine Way has added elements to its Kiawah design that address both in addition to ease of wash and wear. The skirt falls in a classically flattering A-line and includes a kick slit on each side. A wide elastic waistband adds comfort, and three pockets (one on each side and one on the back right) ensure you'll always have somewhere to stash balls and tees. Along with a variety of flattering prints, like Geo Paisley, Katherine Way features smart fabric. The skort is wrinkle resistant, moisture wicking and has UPF 50+ sunscreen rating properties. "The beauty about this is you can come off the golf course and walk into a clubhouse and have dinner without having to go home and take a shower and change clothes," Way said of the Kiawah skirt. MSRP $162 | katherineway.com/collections/golf 2 G/FORE Stars Slip-On Here's a different take on golf shoes that draws on street-style comfort and trendiness while still bringing functionality into play. G/FORE golf shoes are generally bold in color and form, but the all-over star print of these slip-ons is unique to the line. The slip-on is made of a smooth, full-grain leather that remains 100% waterproof. These slip-ons present a perfect, comfortable option for a late- afternoon range session if you're not fully committed to lacing up. MSRP $225 | gfore.com/ 3 KJUS Women's Sina Polo For those who just want to dip their toe into an all-over print, this KJUS polo in a bold fall color is a modest option. The thin stripe offers a classic, clean look while a solid collar brings a pop of color. Because the polo is made of a stretchy, moisture-wicking fabric, it's a cooling choice for an early-fall day. A UPF 50+ finish offers an extra bit of sun protection. Proper fit is important when it comes to polos (to tuck or not to tuck) so KJUS also offers the Sina in a shorter length for $89. MSRP $99 | kjus.com/us/en/women/golf/ 4 PUMA Volition Camo Skirt PUMA golf has succeeded in aligning function with a cause. Its Volition collection is a tribute to patriotism, and sales support military families through the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides scholarships and assistance for families of fallen and disabled servicemen and women. Several items in the Volition line feature this all-over blue camo pattern. Here, PUMA added the patriotic touch to a classic, stretchy skirt design that's also sweat wicking with a UV-resistant finish. MSRP $60 | cobragolf.com/pumagolf/ 5 Ralph Lauren Classic Fit Performance Pant Patterns and prints don't have to take you totally out of your comfort zone. Leave it to Ralph Lauren to design something traditional yet bold. The tartan design on this pant offers a warm fall vibe that's still a classic, and fits into Polo's print-heavy line. The all-over tartan pattern works here because of the classic Ralph Lauren fit. The pant features the traditional two-front angled pockets plus a coin pocket with a flap. The Poly Coolmax Yarndye fabric puts a premium on retention. It won't stretch out as your round progresses, so the pants return to their original shape after each swing. MSRP $125 | ralphlauren.com/ 6 Straight Down Burns Polo Straight Down was born in San Luis Obispo in 1987 as a sportswear company, but transitioned to a golf and lifestyle company in 1993. Pieces are made with the transition from golf course to off course in mind, and that comes through in Straight Down's large assortment of polos. The material used for the Burns Polo is a Polyester jacquard that features wicking performance and an antimicrobial finish. Each season includes a balance of solids, stripes and prints, and the allover martini design featured on the Burns polo is certainly among the most fun. "We feel all-over prints are a good way to communicate our brand's personality and add lightheartedness to the sport," said Straight Down designer Matt Beck. MSRP $72 | straightdown.com/brand/ 7 J Lindeberg Palmer Shorts Schoeller 3XDry This is not your father's plaid. The beauty of this modern short is in the fabric. Though it could pass as regular cotton at first glance (and touch), this fabric is built with moisture in mind from both the inside and outside. The responsibly manufactured fabric repels water and dirt on the outside and wicks away moisture on the inside. When you're questioning the afternoon forecast, but still want to chance it, go with these shorts. MSRP $165 | jlindebergusa.com/ 7 6 5
