80 SPRING 2019 | NCGA.ORG When: September 30 or October 7, 2019 - multiple locations throughout California What: We're challenging supporters across the country to become "Hikers" and take on the daunting task of playing 100 holes in one day to raise money and awareness for Youth on Course. Hikers secure gifts and pledges from their personal networks prior to the event and then walk (or run) all 100 holes—earning donations with every hole they play. As volunteers, Hikers have a direct impact on youth in California. Hikers challenge their donors to help them be the top fundraiser for the event and donors challenge their Hikers to complete the epic feat of walking 100 holes in a day. "Having the opportunity to participate in the 100- Hole Hike was extremely exhilarating. The challenge (and fear) of walking and playing 100 holes of golf not only motivated me but rallied my supporters. Every step was energized by the thought of providing more access to the game of golf for kids who normally could not afford to participate. For 11 hours and 45 minutes, I walked side by side with the other 100-Hole Hikers. It made the day fun and a lifetime memory." — Pat Quinn, Past NCGA President and Youth on Course Board Chair and 2018 Hiker Are you up to the challenge?
