NCGA.ORG | SPRING 2019 81 H eard about the new NCGA Senior Series? For 2019, the NCGA has introduced a new tournament series specifically for players age 55-over. Held on weekdays, both women and men of all abilities can compete in these more casual events. Each event will feature two flights based on age: the first flight for players ages 55-64, the second flight for players 65-plus. Flight One men will play from an approximate yardage of 5,800-6,000 yards; Flight Two men approximate yardage will be 5,400-5,600 yards. Women will play from approximately 5,000 yards. Each event will feature prize funds for each flight and an optional skins game. Compete on your own or grab a friend to join you! For more info, please visit Y ou asked, we listened. While the Weekend Net Tour is always open to women, the tour has introduced women-specific flighted events . Those currently on the WNT calendar include Silverado Resort in Napa (May 18), Yocha Dehe in Brooks (July 27), Peacock Gap in San Rafael (Aug. 24) and Poppy Hills (Sept. 8). All WNT events are flighted by handicap and a Handicap Review process to promote fair play.
