N CGA members Ty Robb (right) and Frank Buchanan were the big winners of the 2018 NCGA Hole-In-One Sweepstakes. Every year, the NCGA holds a Hole-In-One Sweepstakes where members can record their hole-in-one and be entered into a sweepstakes with the grand prizes being a round of golf for four at Poppy Hills or Poppy Ridge. In addition, those scoring aces receive a specially designed coin to commemorate their shot. Robb, of Atascadero, got his ace on Nov. 19 on the par-3, 176- yard third hole at Chalk Mountain GC using a 5-iron. Buchanan, of Gold River, got his ace on the par-3, 147-yard third hole at Haggin Oaks (MacKenzie Course) using a 7-iron.
