The record six-time NCGA Player of the Year notched his fourth senior title, defeating David Games, 1-up in a thriller. "These NCGA Championships mean the world to me," said the No. 2 seeded Haag, who now has 19 career NCGA titles. "I've been playing these events for 40-plus years and it's never easy; you have to beat great players on incredible courses." Games, a caddie at Pebble Beach Golf Links and the No. 20 seed, had been the championship's Cin- derella story. He grabbed a 2-up lead against Haag through the first eight holes, but it wouldn't last. Haag squared the match with a par on No. 12. Par was good enough to win the 16th hole too, and gave Haag a 1-up advantage. That was the final margin after halving the final two holes. With the win, Haag became the first player to repeat since Rob Thompson in 2007–2008. In the Super Senior Championship, Pebble Beach resident Frank Pieper remains the only player to win the title. The champion in last year's inaugural event, Pieper defeated Mike Watney, 2 & 1. 11th NCGA Senior Amateur Match Play Championship
