During this time, the NCGA is proud to offer all WGANC and PWGA members full NCGA membership benefits, which include a USGA handicap index, the quarterly NCGA Golf magazine, year-round discounts at Poppy Hills and Poppy Ridge, access to 500-plus tournament days (including the Weekend Net Tour and NCGA PLAY!) and the newest benefit, NCGA GO. The three organizations collectively represent a rich history of supporting and promoting the game of golf in Northern California. With that experience as the foundation, all are committed to innovating and improving member programs and services. Successful collaboration has already begun with joint course ratings. Next steps include expansion of volunteer opportunities and improved training for tournament management, rules and more. Throughout the collaboration period, all three organizations will be learning a lot about each others' traditions and history, current benefit offerings and member needs and aspirations. This will help the collaboration team form principles and programs for a potential combined organization in the future. SHAG bag LPGA Back to the Bay The LPGA Tour will be returning to the Bay Area in 2018 after a one-year absence. The stars of women's golf will compete at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City from April 26-29. The course hosted the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic from 2014-2016, but the Taiwan-based non-profit organization elected to not renew its contract and sponsored an LPGA event in Taipei in 2017. L&P Cosmetic, a Korean skin-care company, was named the new title sponsor. (The event's official name wasn't announced prior to publication).
