A day after winning the Saturday League Final, the Dragonfly GC squad won the Overall title, defeating runner-up and Thursday League champion San Luis Obispo CC, 22-14. "It's been a magical season," said Dragonfly GC captain Steve Neer, whose squad jumped out to a commanding 16-6 lead. "When the low guys played bad, the high guys would carry the load, and vice versa. We've done it that way all year." The championship uses a format where two players from a side face off against two players from an opposing side in four-ball and individual matches concurrently, with players earning two points for a win and one point for a halve. The Dragonfly GC squad consisted of Steve Perez, Doug Johnson, Tim Schinner, Bill Howard, Art Trask, Marc Watts, Ed Zahariades, Reino Siipola, Clint Jones, Steve Benard, John Arteaga and Neer.
