S tarting in May, one of the newest NCGA member benefits rolls into its second year—NCGA Play! A fun, social golf program, Play! is delivered in several 4-week series at a variety of courses. Each session starts with a quick clinic from a course pro, then it's out to the course for a fun short game (4-9 holes) and back for a social hour with free drink tickets and prizes compliments of the NCGA! This program has been popular for obvious reasons: everyone can use some instructional tips; the short format fits into busy schedules; and socializing afterward is a great way to meet fellow golfers. NCGA Play! is open to all NCGA members. However, because it is a great way to show co-workers, friends and family the benefits of joining NCGA, non-member guests can attend an introductory session. The program is perfect for squeezing in some fun golf after work, getting back into the game, meeting some new golf friends or just building skills and confidence to get out and play. 2018 host courses include Coy- ote Creek in San Jose, Deep Cliff in Cupertino, Haggin Oaks and William Land in Sacramento, Metropolitan in Oakland, Poppy Hills in Pebble Beach, Poppy Ridge in Livermore, and Shoreline in Mountain View, with more being added to the schedule throughout the year. Players can sign up for a single session or for the series—and they are starting up in May! To see the 2018 schedule or to sign up, visit ncga.org/ncga-play.
