NCGA.ORG | SUMMER 2018 75 O n September 10, 40-plus hikers in Northern California and across the country will take on the daunting task of playing 100 holes in one day to raise money and awareness for Youth on Course. Hikers are asked to secure pledges prior to the event and then walk (or run) all 100 holes of golf – earning donations with every hole completed. To support the hikers and Youth on Course, you can pledge any amount towards anyone participating for each hole of golf they play – or you can make a one-time donation to the hiker or the cause! For example, if you pledge $1 per hole and the hiker plays 100 holes, that's $100 towards Youth on Course. Hikers will be playing from sunup to sundown, walking 20-plus miles and taking hundreds of swings. It will be a fun but challenging day and your backing will help keep participants going! W e know you get a lot of e-mails, we do too. That's why, over the past few months, we have worked hard to scale back our member e-mails to fewer (and we hope better) communications. Still, we want to make sure you stay up-to-date on our events, exclusive discount offers and member news. Did you know you can manage which e-mails you want to receive from us? On the flipside, are you not getting e-mails from the NCGA? It may be that we don't have your e-mail address, have an incorrect one or you have previously unsubscribed. To start getting just the e-mails you want, visit and update your e-mail address and preference information. Y O U T H O N C O U R S E
